This project aims to characterise the cardiovascular progenitor (CP) population as it develops from stem cells and further to cardiomyocytes in order to enable (1) isolation and purification of the population for further analyses and applications and (2) to compare healthy developing population to dystrophin deficient population which could lead to clarification of molecular changes in Duchenne muscular dystrophy and possible identification of targets for molecular intervention.
