The aim of this project is to investigate how self-selection into competition influences the distribution of resources. In an economic experiment, subjects compete for a right to choose the allocation of money between them and the passive third party. We will study both differences across treatments with and without competition, and the individual differences in the investing into competition, that could mean that self-selection drives the behavior.
