The project is designed as a set of three pilot research studies mapping the possibilities of psychodiagnostics and psychological interventions in the context of coping with extremely challenging situations. STUDY 1 will use an experiment to test the potential of a specific combination of psychodiagnostic and physiological diagnostic methods to predict individuals who have the appropriate equipment to cope with increased stress load (N = 80). STUDY 2 will map the moderating role of personality characteristics on cognitive performance (particularly attention, memory, decision making, and analytical thinking) in a stressful situation (N = 200) through a single diagnostic investigation. STUDY 3 will validate the effectiveness of the MAC protocol for dealing with stress and strain situations in the context of individual performance and explore the possible effects of the program on the level of basic psychological flexibility processes in a selected group of individuals (N = 20). At the same time, a foreign Emotional Regulation Questionnaire will be transferred to the Czech sociocultural context (N = 300).
