Religious experiences are important in many cultures. In the cognitive science of religion, their study is now based on predictive processing theory, according to which people develop cultural techniques to experience abstract cultural content as real. However, ethnographical fieldwork examining the link between particular cultural techniques and experiencing respective cultural content is almost missing. Thus, I want to explore Dark therapy as a specific practice of such experiences' induction.
