Gibel carp is an extraordinary cyprinid species combining sexual and gynogenetic reproductions and exhibiting the ability to survive in extreme environments. Gynogenetic form is important for its invasiveness, hence, the differences in the responses to different stressors between two forms were hypothesized. This study is aimed at the differential expression of stress-related genes under parasitic infection and physiological responses to abiotic stressor (oxygen) in gynogenetic and sexual forms.
