Nowadays, knowledge is considered a primary strategic resource of a modern enterprise. Organizations accumulate and use knowledge in their business processes to create business value and gain a competitive advantage. In recent years, multiple studies highlighted the vital role of knowledge in business process management (BPM) and the global switch to the remote working mode in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic demonstrated the importance of BPM and knowledge management (KM) integration. Nevertheless, the research on overlapping themes between BPM and knowledge management (KM) remains fragmented. Thus, the project will aim to identify overlapping themes between BPM and KM and directions for future research within these themes. To do so, we will conduct a systematic literature review and analyze the content of previous studies dedicated to BPM and KM.
