The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge influence globally and has affected the lives of millions of people. Isolation, diminished interaction, school and workplace closures, major restrictions on activity and freedoms can all be distressing for society. A poll by UNICEF (2020) suggested that COVID-19 crises have a significant impact on the wellbeing of youth. Thus, the psychological repercussions of this pandemic have become an issue of urgent research. Specifically, the need to identify the potential determinants that cause negative psychological consequences that affect wellbeing, as well as potential ways to cope with the consequences due to the enormity of the pandemic has been stressed. The project aims to identify both the potential risks and protective factors that may influence the wellbeing of youth and help them in thriving.
