The proposed "Global Health" CORE course, directly contributes to Masaryk University's vision by fostering interdisciplinary learning, social responsibility, and sustainable development. Covering key topics such as universal health coverage, climate change and planetary health, refugee and migrant health, global mental health, non-communicable diseases, and highly deadly pathogens such as dengue and HIV, the course equips students to become effective change agents and opinion leaders in their communities.
This course's value lies in its emphasis on real-world case studies, international collaboration, and active participation, which together provide students with practical insights into global health complexities. By addressing region-specific challenges and fostering cross-cultural understanding, we prepare graduates to tackle pressing health issues in Central Europe and beyond.
Delivered in English, the course facilitates a broader global impact and aligns with the university's strategic objectives. Integrating Global Health into the University's Basic Courses cultivates well-rounded, socially responsible graduates and directly contributes to the university's vision of promoting interdisciplinary education, international collaboration, and sustainable development, empowering future leaders to address the dynamic landscape of global health effectively.
