According to the WHO, health is defined as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. The ideal is when all three components are in balance. It is common to speak of health of the body and health of the soul. The health of social interactions is much less talked about, although at the time of the COVID-19 pandemic their importance was quite unquestionable and social health was shown to be above gold. Social health is a term that refers to the ways in which people create healthy and positive interpersonal relationships with each other. Good social health helps people improve their emotional well-being and feel supported in their daily lives. The definition of social health is broad; there are many different elements of social health that come together to create a cohesive picture of positive relationships. Elements of social health include, for example, treating people kindly, communicating clearly, developing meaningful relationships, acting appropriately in relationships, and setting and respecting personal boundaries. The course focuses on concepts designed to contribute to a better understanding of the various forms of social interactions and their health.
