The project aims to improve the skills of Higher Education (HE) students and graduates from related fields who will be working with people with Autism and/or other special education needs, by developing an innovative Continuous Development programme through Virtual reality.
The main objective of this project is to spread accurate knowledge about ABA among HE students and professionals working in the field of autism (psychologists, special educators, SaLTs, OTs, support workers) and train a pool of them in each partner country on basic ABA principles which will enable them to manage challenging behaviour.
More specifically, the project aims to:
O1: Investigate the quality of current ABA training through a field research
O2:Develop, pilot-test and validate an innovative training model (BST in conjunction with VR) for HE teachers, trainers, and educators to help them introduce the HE students and graduates from related fields into ABA
O3:Carry out training for HE students and graduates, to professionally progress through knowledge, skills and key competences development in ABA
