Past and present classification and nomenclature of European wetlands (PastPresentWetVegEurope)

With this project, I aim to conclude the reviews of the classification and nomenclature of aquatic and marsh vegetation across Europe. This huge work started ten years ago. The project will use data stored in the European Vegetation Archive, WetVegEurope database and new data. It will revise the knowledge published in the literature during the last century, and it will create a solid base for future research and applications. The main output of this project will be a series of publications with revised and updated syntaxonomic nomenclature, descriptions and distribution maps of wetland vegetation types in Europe.
