The main goal of the WellbeingInSchools project is to enhance the overall social and emotional well-being of students and teachers by implementing Mindfulness-Based Intervention practices in primary schools.
The partnership will create and release an innovative Mindfulness-Based Intervention (MBI) toolkit designed for teachers, along with an MBI mobile app tailored for both teachers and students. The project will include an impact evaluation using a quasi-experimental research design, involving the training of 3-4 trainers per country. These trainers will implement the toolkit and mobile app within their respective schools and facilitate training for at least 5 additional teachers in their countries.
The project aims to create an innovative Mindfulness-Based Intervention (MBI) toolkit for teachers, along with a customised MBI mobile app. These resources will provide guidelines, practical examples, and an assessment tool for personalised MBI practices in the curriculum. Anticipated outcomes include improved student well-being (emotional regulation, attention, overall well-being), reduced teacher stress, professional development, research contributions, and more positive school environments.
