The project aims to develop a course that supports teachers in European countries (with a focus on Eastern Central Europe). It is located in the educational science discourse in the context of teacher professionalization. In addition to modules on factual knowledge transfer (such as EU asylum law or national school systems), linguistic and pedagogical topics such as language-sensitive teaching or trauma and resilience will also be taught. The course will be offered asynchronously via a learning platform (MOOC); suggestions for asynchronous sections will also be developed. Our target groups are teacher students and teachers.
The course design is preceded by a data collection in which the needs and experiences of the teachers in the different countries are surveyed. The disciplines involved are sociology, pedagogy/educational science, foreign language teaching, and social work. The partner universities are Technical University Dresden; Catholic University Ukraine, Masaryk University, and Wroclaw University.
