The project QQ Improvement at Faculty of Social Studies (registration number: CZ.1.07/2.3.00/09.0189 is co-financed by European Social Fund and the budget of the Czech Republic.
The project aims at increasing methodological knowledge of academic staff and PhD students at the Faculty of Social Studies at Masaryk University (MU FSS). The Project introduces application of the qualitative and quantitative research methods. Detailed knowledge and practical experience with data analysis is the condition for successful research. Advanced methodological training is the only way to approach European level and publish scientific results internationally. The project provides recent software equipment, methodological literature and scientific journals for the PhD students and academic staff at the Faculty of Social Studies. The project offers quantitative and qualitative courses with qualified foreign experts. The output of the project will enhance methodological knowledge at the Faculty of Social Studies.

Results

The aim of the project was to improve the knowledge of academics and Ph.D. students of Faculty of social studies in qualitative and quantitative methods of research. Within the project were organized courses of qualitative and quantitative methodology led by Czech and foreign experts in the methods, in addition were organized also methodological workshops with foreign experts. The project also enabled to academics and students to make internships and study visits in Czech Republic as well as abroad. From the budget of the project were bought the newest scientific publications concerning methodology of social sciences and software for social science research.
