The subject of this project is theoretical and experimental study of phase equilibria in transition metal based I multicomponent system with nitrogen and/or carbon. Main attention will be aimed towards the understanding of the behaviour of carbidic and n itridic phases in Ti-M-X systems, M=V,Nb and X=N,C and the influence of nitrogen on the phase boundaries in Fe-Cr-Mn-Ni-N system. With respect to existing results, new temperature and concentration regions of above mentioned systems will be studied. Newl
