The substantial part of the project is the mapping of the development of the instruction of mathematics at the German Technical University in Brno during the whole period of its existence (1849-1945). Apart from getting information on the staff at the de partment of mathematics, the aim of the project is also to track down the development of the content and form of instruction of this subject in the given period and its comparison with some other technical universities, first in the Austro-Hungarian Empi re and later on in the independent Czechoslovak Republic.
