Description | The present study aims to explore possible applications of the fictional worlds concept for analyzing theatre performance. It attempts to analyze and evaluate existing notions in this area and compare them with several similar, though not identical, theoretical models, which appeared in theatre studies in the last century. The second half of the text focuses on the possibility of connecting fictional worlds with Ivo Osolsobě’s hierarchical model of theatrical communication. “Situation” as the central term of such theatre performance fictional worlds theory, is the main material as well as object of the theatrical art. The conclusion lists several basic tasks that a fictional semantics of theatre should cope with. |
