Description This article deals with issues of the financial management of professional chambers with mandatory membership in the Czech Republic, with special focus on issues of the budget and its approval. Professional chambers are public corporations with their own property and managed according to their own budget. From the carried-out analysis, I will draw partial conclusions evaluating the de lege lata state and recommendations for possible de lege ferenda changes of legal regulations concerning the financial management of those selected special-interest self-administered entities. Although the core of legal regulations concerning the management of property of the special-interest self-administered entities should be based on internal rules, rule-making in this area is considerably insufficient and therefore it is suitable to provide possible recommendations concerning future changes of the legal regulations.
