Description | Leptospirosis is a worldwide infection. Wild and domestic animals are ther reservoir for leptospirosis. The main mode of transmissin of leptospirosis is via contact of the abraded skin or of mucous membranes with water, vegetation, or soil contaminated with urine of infected animals. Leptospirosis is more common in males than females due to epidemiological reasons related to occupation and preference of recreotional activities. |
