Description | The volume presents the results of research by young Czech, Slovak and German linguists into spoken and written English discourse as reported and discussed at The Brno Workshop on Linguistics Studies hosted in 2011 by the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education of Masaryk University, Brno. The contributions are corpus-based studies on a range of discoursal features and strategies, and cover a diversity of topics across discourses, namely academic, literary and dramatic discourse and computer-mediated communication.
