Description | Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most frequent tumor disease of kidneys of adults. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short non-coding singlestranded RNAs that post-transcriptionally regulate gene expression. Using qRT-PCR TaqMan low density array (TLDA), global expression profiles of miRNAs in RCC and non-tumoral parenchym were analyzed. Data were normalized using RNU48 and RNU6B and subsequently analyzed in R using Bioconductor and hierarchical clustering. The results were further validated on independent set of samples. Finally, in vitro analyses were carried out using cell lines ACHN and CAKI-2 and effects of transfection of anti-miR-210 on cell viability, apoptosis, cell cycle, migration and invasivity were analyzed. |
