| Description | The possibility of chronic hepatitis C genotype 1 therapy has dramaticaly changed during last 2 years due to commercial availability of new protease inhibitors - telaprevir and boceprevir. The combination of one of these drugs with pegylated interferon and ribavirin is approximately twice more effective in naive patients and three times more effective in experienced patients than standard dual therapy with pegylated interferon and ribavirin. |
