Description The chapter presents results of a research study focused on connection between specific learning disorders (dyslexia) and study and professional orientation of 8th grade primary school pupils. The following related facts were determined as well: subjective view of comprehension of educational and artistic texts, study results and reading books. The author states differences in professional and study ambitions between pupils with and without dyslexia. These differences can be connected both with worse study results and worse viewing of their own comprehension of texts among pupils with dyslexia. The research results also indicate the connection between quantity of reading books and subjective viewing of comprehension of texts, which can secondarily influence study ambitions.
