Description Ruptured cerebral aneurysm is the most common cause of a non-traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage. A half of the patients die before they are admitted into a complex cerebrovascular center, which is able to provide surgical or endovascular treatment and neurointensive care. Neurointenzive care includes drainage of cerebrospinal fluid, monitoring and treatment of cerebral vasospasms, management of blood pressure and measurement of intracranial pressure, brain tissue oxygen, cerebral blood flow. Non medical personnel achieve in a specialized neurointensive care much better results today.
