Description The aim of this study is to examine incidence of deliberate self-harm on non-clinical population of pubescent and adolescent children in Czech republic. To discover significant causes, prevalence, frequency, most commonly forms of self-harm used, gender differences (see Siv Kvernmo & Rosenvinge, 2009, Whitlock, 2010 and others) and other significant connections such as perceived quality of child-parent, siblings and peer relationships and school results. We base this research on previous qualitative studies (Havelková, 2009, Černá, 2008, Krieglová, 2009, Franců, 2006) and our pilot research project. Following methods were used: Self-Harm Inventory, Sansone, Sansone & Wiederman, 1995, Self-Harm Behavior Questionnaire SHBQ, Gutierrez, 2001 and a test battery which explores the above mentioned phenomenons.
