| Description | This study is based on pilot research which indicated possible link between self-harm and perceived lower self competence in adolescents. Our aim is to explore this connection on non-clinical sample in particular to find significant context which may lead to self-harm in children and which has also been indicated by other authors (Lieberman, 2004 and others). This research has been realized as a one-time questionnaire inquiry. We used following methods: Perceived Competence Scale for Children, Harter, 1982, Self-Harm Inventory, Sansone, Sansone & Wiederman, 1995, Self-Harm Behavior Questionnaire SHBQ, Gutierrez, 2001. |
