Description | Troubles connected with the transition from secondary schools to universities concern the majority of fields of study. They are more serious in fields where mathematics is needed. These problems are, of course, generally known. The discussion concerning a concrete case is presented. It comes from physics, but the experiences and conclusions can be used also in other fields, not only in science. This is a learning form called consultation classes, or exercises, in classical mechanics. The fact that mechanics is often considered as relatively easy discipline of physics is also well-known. Thus it will be mentioned only very briefly, as a motivation remark. Main attention is paid to the above mentioned consultation classes. |
