| Description | The book focuses on hearing impairment, namely communication of persons with hearing impairment. These persons experience significant barriers in all spheres of communication due to absence or lack of acoustic feedback. The one of the general dilemma is the tertiary education of hearing impaired students, its specificity, communicative techniques used by the university teachers and the students with hearing impairment. The book is divided into five chapters and includes theoretical as well as empirical findings. The fourth and fifth chapter present the research design and outcomes. The main goal of the research was to analyse attitudes of university lecturers at all faculties of the Masaryk University towards education of students with hearing impairment and elaboration of a manual of basic ways of communication with university students with hearing impairment. One of these chapters offers case studies of persons with hearing impairment. The Manual of basic approaches to students with hearing impairment in the form of CD-ROM forms its important part and can be found in the attachment. |
