| Description | The city of Brno was one of the first in Czechoslovakia, where college students and their professors began to organize sports clubs and gave the basis for the development of university sport. The contribution gives a brief overview of the significant persons who helped to establish this movement. The article also contains the overview of key clubs and societies on which were created today's wide variety of Brno's university sports clubs. |
