| Description | The presented text is the first comprehensive investigation of Brno written sources with regard to material culture. It proceeds from preserved Brno testaments, its chronological core being in the 2nd part of the 15th century, when we can note more frequent and exact references concerning movable property. The article describes a spectrum of bequeathed subjects, taking the contemporary terminology into account and accentuating the gender differentiation of the legacies. The situation in late mediaeval Brno is compared generally with other nearby localities, where findings of similarly conceived research can be used. |
