Description Matouš Pertscher was the head of the Brno Augustinian monastery between 1740-1777 (first a prior, from 1752 an abbot). Throughout his office he devoted his time to numerous artistic activities in the Brno monastery as well as in its estates. Not only does the text present findings about the realized works, it also focuses on Pertscher's relationship to art and artists and indicates the raesons which led to his maecenas activities.
