Description This book presents long-term research results of cognitive motivation in the physics/science education of students with a focus on gifted students. Our theoretical, experimental and design-based research leads to the conclusion that the development of students greatly depends on their motivation, in particular cognitive motivation. The core of the book are two sets of cognitive motivational teaching techniques how to motivate students with a focus on gifted students. All presented cognitive motivational teaching techniques with concrete examples include a section dedicated to gifted students.
