| Description | The question of nutrion in persons that abuse alcohol is very important particularly when treating diseases, whether associated with alcohol consumption or not. Factors such as absorption from the digestive tract, energetic reserves, metabolism, immunity can all influence treatment and all these factors may be influenced by food ingestion and associated habits. The importance of nutrition for patients with malignant diseases, patients requiring intensive care, for patients with impaired food intake or maladsorption has been known for a long time andits influence is increasingly recognised. |
