Description | Depositional architecture of the Lower Badenian infill of the Carpathian Foredeep in Moravia significantly differs from the classical models for the peripheral foreland basins. Lower Badenian sediments in the northern part of the Carpathian Foredeep in Moravia are comprised mainly Lower Badenian basal clastics and calcareous clayes (tegels). Lithological evaluation of more than 400 wells from the Northern Moravia allow to recognise 6 facies developments. |
