Description | This book confronts preconceptions about psychology, which are common for some applicants for psychology study and real content of psychology study at university. Discussed themes in fact are not complete list, but should be considered as important themes in the ongoing discussions around Europe. Main point of the list is quite simple - the issue of psychology study at university does not reduce only to the question "How to get your dream field - the psychology study?" The publication focuses on changes in thinking about the field of study and the psychology as the profession, which brings to psychologists its own study and how they differ from laic ideas. The core of the publication consists of several personal reflections some psychologists regarding to these changes in their professional development. University study of psychology at the bachelor and the master level is in this book described in the perspective of European standards of the psychology study (EuroPsy) and as a specific type of acquired competencies applicable to the job market. |
