Description The guidebook describes the basic principles and methodological guidelines for the application of case management (in terms of coordinated collaboration within the case) with recovering substance users. It is based on experience with the implementation of case management in social and health services for drug and alcohol users in Brno in years 2010-2013. Includes a brief summary of the cultural-historical development of case management in the world and in the Czech Republic, including a most widely used performance models, also offers practical guidance for coordinated collaboration within the case, supplemented by some specific methods of application in the Czech Republic, and ends with evaluation of case management as a way of working from the perspective of both clients and workers. Text is especially designed for helping professionals who have experience on the ground with recovering substance users, as well as for managers and creators of methodologies in this area. Inspiration in it will certainly find other experts from various helping professions across target groups and students of these disciplines.
