Description Pathogens Leptospira grippotyphosa and Leptospira pomona, Bbsl, Coxiella burnetii and Francisella tularensis cause dangerous zoonotic diseases which can be transmitted through ticks when L. grippotyphosa and L. pomona regards the transmission of infection via feces-contaminated water reservoir animals. As a reservoir for bacteria appear small mammals and birds, are very important especially rodents. The infection occurs after ingestion of ticks prior to infected host reservoir. During further ingestion occurs pathogen transmission together with the saliva of ticks to blood new host. In this study, we focus on the possible occurrence of Leptospira grippotyphosa and Leptospira pomona, Bbsl, Coxiella burnetii and Francisella tularensis in rodents at selected sites throughout the country (Poodří, Moravský kras and Mohelno).
