Description The main goal of this work is the measurement of natural radioactivity of igneous rock massifs in the eastern part of the Lugikum region of the Bohemian massif. Measurements were carried out on Litice massif, Nový Hrádek massif, Olešnice massif and Zábřeh massif. Natural radioactivity was also measured on the smaller Gabro rock massif which forms Špičák hill near the village of Deštné v Orlických horách. First, maps for the in-the-field measurement of the areas in question were created. Then the concentrations of potassium. uranium and thorium of these massifs were measured using the PGIS 128 field gammaspectrometer. This device was lent from Envinet a.s. for the study. The rock samples from all selected areas were also collected for laboratory gammaspectrometry measurements and for the study under the polarizing microscope.
