Description | Czech philosophical life after the liberation of the country was crucially influenced by the reconstruction of institutions. First, it was the re-opening of Charles University in Prague and Masaryk University in Brno, and the establishment of Palacký University in Olomouc in 1946. Their faculties of arts included departments of philosophy covering the contents of the curricula of philosophy programs.Memoirs of the attendants of the political events and academic discussions of the era bring testimony to the exciting time and fate of the institutions and scholars. Journals that focused on philosophy included Česká mysl (Czech Mind), Filosofická revue (Philosophical Review), Křesťanská revue (Christian Review), Kritický měsíčník (Critical Monthly) etc. |
