Description The analytical article wants to weight up the current situation of Czech history didactics, whereat individual aspects are related to the German discourse. First of all the situation before and after The Change in 1989 is portrayed in order to understand the development up to the turn of the millennium, in which a kind of paradigm shift occurred. Still, the theroretical developments within the history didactics as well as an overview of subject-didactic observational research and of charakteristics of textbooks are the focus of the study.
