Description | The article is focused on the delimitation of political regionalism. In light of the nature of this concept, it defines the attributes of ethno-regional political parties with respect to the specifics of the Visegrad Four, peculiar post-communist territory comprised of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary. After sketching the theoretical framework, aggregate-level empirical analysis directing on the detection of the impact of potential determinants causing electoral support of ethno-regional parties is presented. The initial hypothesis tells that electoral support of these formations is the function of socioeconomic development of states' sub-units. Multivariate linear regression is used to estimate the explanatory model. |
