| Description | In my paper, I am going to focus on the methods by which literary fiction usually creates the effect of authenticity. I am therefore going to examine especially those literary devices that create the concept of recipients reality, while searching for these authentication methods through various levels of the work - stylistic and semantic, which I am going to analyze afterwards on several literary works chosen (K. Čapek, M. Ajvaz). Accepting the diversity of the literary work levels announced, I work with various theoretical devices, by which I mean the findings on the theory of possible worlds by Lubomír Doležel, Umberto Eco, and the functional stylistics of the Prague Linguistic Circle. At the end, I will then try to suggest the way the further research in this area could be performed. |
