Description | The study was realized in cooperation with grant support: MUNI/A/0887/2012"Verifying the psychometric properties of diagnostic tools for screening the incidence and forms of self-harm among school children", which focused on the exploration of relations between the incidence of self-harm and depression. In the sample (N = 182) reported at least one personal experience with self-harm 41.8% of respondents, of which 20.9% of girls and 20.3% boys, the average age of people surveyed was 13,6 years. One-time survey used the following methods: Self-Harm Behavior Questionnaire (Gutierrez, 1998), Self-Harm Inventory (Sansone, Sansone and Wiedermann, 1995) and Children's Depression Inventory ( Kovacs, Preiss, 1991, Czech version 1998). The results shows interesting findings on the relationships of the various types of self mutilation, combination of them and their frequency, which is shown as one of the key factors in the from episodic to repeated damage and depression. |
