Description | Presentation of the main results of the research study as a poster. The study aimed to explore the relations between the incidence of self-harm in adolescents and their perceived quality of communication in the family. In the sample (n = 307) reported their own experience with self-harm 23.5% of respondents, including 16% of girls and 7.5% of boys, which is consistent with the conclusions of the authors doing research on the issue (Muehlenkamp and Gutierrez 2007 Plener et al ., 2009). The results confirmed the importance of the influence exercised by the style of family communication on the origin and development of this hearing, with the closest relationship was revealed in such a communication style that teens can freely express their opinions, thoughts and feelings. |
