Description | So-called non-coding RNA by more fundamental way regulates and controls the cells of an adult organism. It shows that non-coding DNA previously considered the senseless DNA encodes short stretches of RNA that have on the functioning of cells, a crucial influence, by affecting gene expression. In recent years, the technology using sequencers of II. generation revealed that only 90% of genomic DNA is transcribed into RNA, of which only 1-2% of the RNA encoding the proteins and the remainder are so-called non-coding (ncRNA). ncRNA are of fundamental importance in the pathogenesis of mental disorders such as schizophrenia, Alzheimer's disease, mood disorders, addiction, etc. |
