Description The aim of this study was to record the variability in REE and other elements distribution in fossilized material within phosphate and carbonate matrix. For this purpose, LA-ICP-MS was performed. As a comparative method, electron microprobe analysis (EMPA) was also carried out. The elemental mapping reveals the high content of some REE, especially Ce. Small fragments are characterized by a relatively high heterogeneity and a presence of other minerals.
