Description The book Sbírka cest vypsání po moři(1812)is mainly devoted to children and it was adaptated by Václav Matěj Kramerius into the Czech language upon the book based on the journals of the Englisch captains such are Commodore Byron, Samuel Wallis, Phillipe Carteret published in London in the year 1773 as the representative book An Account of the Voyages undertaken by the order of His Present Majesty, for making Discoveries in the Southern Hemisphere, and successively performed by Commodore Byron, Captain Wallis, Captain Carteret, and Captain Cook, in the Dophin, the Swallow, and the Endeavour: Drawn from the Journals which were kept by teh several Commanders, and from the Papers of Joseph Banks, Esq. edited by John Hawkesworth. Czech book is not illustrated, and does not contains original maps and charts. This Kramerius work is the contribution to Czech Enlightenment and reflects the cultural-historical realities of the original work and believes that children could be educated by books.
