| Description | The first part of the paper is focused on the figure of the visigothic chronicler Iohannes Biclarensis and his work. The second part incorporates the analysis of selected paragraphs from his Chronicle regarding the caracteristics of kings Leovigild and Rekkared, the search for parallels and contrasts between them and and in the end - with their help - the motivation of the whole chronicle is demonstrated. |
