Description | The late 16th and the early 17th century was one of the most important periods of the long history of Liechtensteins in Central Europe, personified primarly by Prince Karl of Liechtenstein and also to an extent by his younger brothers Maximilian and Gundaker. In the period 1590-1650 the family became incorporated into the structure of the province, and the process of integration into the emerging structures of the Habsburg monarchy was also begun. |
