Description This article discusses our research of social support available for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The research focuses on the perception of its quantitative and qualitative aspects of children placed in institutional education. Social support is thought as external supportive source, which can be used to eliminate barriers and overall development of EBD children. Research is based on quantitative methodology, research tool is modified version of ISEL (Interpersonal Support Evaluation List). We are currently in the process of data collection. The current research findings show on irreplaceable role of natural social structures (family, peers) in supportive process. The institutional support was marginal. There was high satisfaction with available support in our research group.
